Michelle Obama showed up at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, shocking everyone when she took to the stage wearing $4,000 dollar glittery thigh-high Balenciaga boots. The former first lady appeared to be trying too hard to upstage Melania Trump, and now, she is at it again. She just released a video of her dancing, wearing her designer duds, and boy, was she made to regret it. Don’t miss this.
Michelle Obama has been touted as reaching icon status by all the fashion magazines. They tell us she is flawless with her choices and always the most stylish woman in the room. No one seemed to grab more attention, that is until Melania Trump became the first lady.
Even though the leftist fashion industry refuses to pay attention to what our first lady wears, there is no doubt Michelle Obama has been checking it out. And, when Melania finally got kudos from Glamour Magazine for the gorgeous white sequin dress she wore to the White House Christmas party a few days ago, Michelle seemed to try her best to outdo her.
The former first lady’s attempt at wearing a style that only a model-thin woman can get away with went all wrong. Social media lit up over the bright yellow wrap dress Mrs. Obama kept fidgeting with as she danced, aware that one wrong move could open it up like a bathrobe.
But, what really got people talking were the $4,000 glittery thigh-high boots. Even a few Obama fans had to admit it was totally unflattering. “Then we have the thigh-high Balenciaga glittery boots that hug Michelle’s every lump and bump on the way up. It’s like Dorothy’s glitter meets the Wicked Witch and her pointy shoes,” wrote one critic.
Instead of just letting all the negative remarks go, Michelle appears to have decided to double down. Taking to Instagram, she posted a video of herself and host Sarah Jessica Parker dancing at the end of the event in Brooklyn. But, that’s not all.
